FAQs – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A collection of common questions related to wedding photography. However please feel free to get in touch to ask about any other queries you may have.

What is the Pre-Wedding Shoot?

The pre-wedding shoot usually takes place a couple of months before the wedding. It’s very informal fun shoot which can take place at a favourite location or even the wedding venue itself. It’s also a chance for us to get to know one another better, and for you to get feel relaxed in front of the camera.

How long do you stay with us on our wedding day?

This will depend on the wedding coverage you’ve booked. For full-day collections, we might start with the groom’s preparations first thing in the morning, followed by the bridal preparations, and stay throughout the day until just after the first dance in the evening.

How many photographs do you take?

This will vary from wedding to wedding, but there is no fixed number. The quantity taken is dependent upon factors, such as the number of locations during the day and the amount of time between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. My emphasis is on telling the story of your day as it unfolds, so you will have lasting memento of your wedding day.

Do you photograph formal family groups?

Yes, and as quickly as possible! We like to limit group photographs to a maximum of 20 minutes and will work to a pre-arranged list. We will ask your Ushers to help gather the necessary guests and the more organised that is, the quicker it will be.

How much digital manipulation goes into our pictures?

Every image is assessed for colour and tone. Most images are then

‘tidied’ to some extent before black & white options are created.

Do you have insurance?

Yes we have a 7-figure liability insurance, which can be provided for any venue that requires it.

How will we reserve our wedding date?

Once we receive your signed contract and your retainer, your date is then fully reserved, and we will not accept any other clients for that date. The balance will be due at least a week prior to the wedding date.

Where and when will the pre wedding/engagement shoot take place?

It’ll normally take place somewhere in London. Preferably at some place that holds some special meaning to you. Ideally due to having to shoot events over the weekend, most of our engagement sessions take place during the week. But sometimes we do manage to arrange a weekend shoot.
